All the staff at Dive HQ Hibiscus Coast
would like to wish you a
HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW !!

Orcas in Army Bay !

On Thursday 8 Jan 2010 lucky divers Carl, Phil, Jessica and Maude encountered a pod of about 8 Ocras as we launched the Dive HQ boat from Army Bay.

We followed the pod along the Whangaparaoa coastline for about 20 minutes before heading out to Wellington Rocks for a very enjoyable pleasure dive.

With Summer upon us we are busy diving most weekends and also during the week. Contact us now to book a dive with us.

Dolphins at Takatu Point

On Sunday 10 January more lucky divers Graham, Tony, Chris, Brooke, Darren, Maude and Dany encountered a playful pod of dolphins after a great dive at Takatu Point. The seas were calm, the water warm and the visability has definitely picked up over the last week to 8-10m...no better time to get out diving !

New Equipment !

Carbon 42 Regulator
The new Mares regulator arrived into NZ recently. The first stage is the top of the line Mares 42 (tinted charcoal colour). The second stage case is 100% SMC carbon making it very light weight and strong. The first and second stages are connected with the new Superflex hose which is also very light weight and flexible allowing for maximum freedom of movement and comfort.

It looked so nice I just had to have one (it's all black and shiny after all)...and after a couple of weeks of use I have to say I am very impressed with the performance and comfort of such a lightweight regulator.

LED Diving Flashlight
Rated to 100m, this metal cased LED Flashlight has 3 brightness modes (20%, 50% and 100%). It also comes with its own battery charger and batteries, wrist lanyard and spare o-rings.

Priced at only $249 it is extremely good value for money (I just had to have one of these also!).
