Newsletter - November 2009

It's been 7 weeks since we took over Dive HQ Hibiscus Coast and Shailina and I would like to thank all those people that passed by the shop to welcome us to the area. A lot has been happening so it's time to update you on all the news.

Dive Trips:

Our September mid-week scallop trips were a great success. We are making the most of the scallop season and running regular visits to Tiri Tiri and Kawau Islands.

We've had to put them on hold for October as Shailina is out of the country for a few weeks and can not cover me in the shop during the day, however, we have replaced them with mid-week evening dives now that daylight saving has kicked in.

We've already made 2 trips to Tutukaka to dive the excellent wreck of the Waikato. Although the diving highlight on Sunday 11 October was the 8 bottlenose dolphins that accompanied us at close quarters for 30 minutes during the dive.

Everyone is welcome to join us diving. Simply give us a call and we'll pencil you in.

SPECIAL OFFER:

We are also pleased to make a special offer of $300 OFF a Pinnacle wet suit to anyone one who wants to learn to dive and books on an Open Water Course by the end of November. This generous offer is only available while stocks last, so if you know someone who would like to learn to dive there is no better time than now !

We also have mid-week block courses organised in December for the school holidays. So it is possible for children 12 years and older to complete their diving course in 4 consequtive days.

Advanced courses are running continually. There has been a lot of requests for a night dive, so we are working on that at the moment...watch this space !

Congratulations to Graham, Sam, Phil and Lee on completing their Emergency First Response course (CPR and First Aid) in preparation for the Rescue Course starting in November.

We already have 5 people for the Divemaster course starting in January 2010, but spaces are still available on all courses so contact us if you are interested.
